What computer and programs do I need to watch InnovationsTV?

Does it cost to watch InnovationsTV?

No, InnovationsTV does not charge to watch its streaming or on demand services. When watching you are downloading the content and therefore may be charged by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if you exceed your download limit.

How much do I download when I watch InnovationsTV?

We stream at 416kbps. This means when you watch InnovationsTV or our on demand videos you are downloading approximately 190MB (Megabytes) per hour of watching.

Why can't I get the video to play?

Our content is streamed as Flash, so your platform needs to support Flash.

Your computer at work or school may be behind a firewall, which in some circumstances can stop streaming video content from playing properly. You will need to contact your network administrator about adjusting the firewall's settings. Our content is streamed as RTMP, which requires port 1935 to be available.

The video doesn't play very well, or is choppy

Try disabling Flash hardware acceleration. When viewing Innovations TV, right (or option click on Mac) on the video window to reveal the Flash Player context menu. Select "Settings...", uncheck the box labelled 'Enable hardware acceleration', then refresh the page.

If viewing in Full Screen, revert to browser view (press 'escape' when video is playing)
